I am a research economist working on energy and environmental economics, with a focus on energy demand, pricing, and decarbonization policy. I am the Director of Trials and Analysis at the Centre for Net Zero, and an incoming PhD student at the London School of Economics.

Current Employment
Director of Trials and Analysis, Centre for Net Zero (CNZ), Octopus Energy Group (February 2023 – present). Lead a team of four across the end-to-end research lifecycle, from experimental design through to analysis and publication, collaborating closely with marketing, engineering, and product teams.
Education
PhD in Economics, London School of Economics (LSE) (starting September 2026). Pursuing doctoral research alongside my role at CNZ.
Stanford University, B.A. in Economics with distinction (2008 – 2012).
Research Interests and Methods
Research interests span energy economics, environmental economics, welfare, and behavioral economics. Methods include large-scale randomized controlled trials, causal inference, and quasi-experimental designs (staggered difference-in-differences, encouragement designs, and high-frequency panel data). Specializations: demand response, energy flexibility, low-carbon technology adoption, and decarbonization. Technical stack: Stata and R for statistical analysis and econometric modeling, SQL for large-scale data extraction, and LaTeX for reporting.
Professional Activities
Member, Cabinet Office Evaluation and Trial Advice Panel (ETAP), advising on evaluation design across government (March 2026 – present).
Grants and Projects
CrowdFlex — Led the trial design and analysis workstreams of CrowdFlex, an £18.6m Ofgem Strategic Innovation Fund project on domestic energy flexibility RCTs, delivered with partners including OVO and Ohme.
TRIG — £40k grant from the Department for Transport and Connected Places Catapult, supporting a field experiment with 110,000 customers.
J-PAL K-CAI — $75,000 grant supporting an experiment with 13,000 electric vehicle customers.
